Shaun Connolly

Principal and Financial Advisor

Shaun is a highly adaptable leader and an approachable advocate for individuals and businesses alike. Maintaining an unyielding client-centric approach, Shaun is passionate about helping others find a path towards their vision.

His curiosity about what gives his clients meaning drives his process — and he endeavors to align his clients’ financial lives with their values. Shaun believes in a true holistic approach, and he enjoys collaboratively problem solving to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.

Shaun’s mission is to educate and empower others to bridge their goals with their financial life, and he does this in multiple ways. By founding a wholly independent wealth management firm, Shaun and his team are able to offer a completely personalized approach to clients with techniques that are uniquely fit for their financial well-being.

Additionally, as the host of the Money Belt Radio show, a weekly talk radio program, Shaun is able to reach a wide audience, discussing current economic and geo-political events and how they affect the personal finances of Main Street America. Shaun has been an adjunct faculty member for San Juan College, teaching a course called “Financial Planet.” Through this course, community members better understand retirement planning, goal setting, risk management, investing and legacy planning.

Shaun sees great value in taking a multi-disciplinary approach. He regularly meets with a group whose expertise varies across different professions, enabling each to provide a critical perspective. Through collaboration, the network identifies and creates solutions that are naturally at the forefront of their respective industries.

Shaun graduated from the Eli Broad School of Business at Michigan State University. He is a Series 7 and 66 licensed Financial Advisor and is licensed in Life, Health and Disability Insurance.

An avid adventurer, Shaun has spent time traveling and working in Asia and the Pacific, including a year in New Zealand where he met his wife, Kereth. Today, Shaun and his family live in the Four Corners. When not working, you can find Shaun enjoying the great outdoors with his family, on the golf course, skiing or playing the guitar.

Kereth Connolly

Chief Operations Officer

Kereth is a dynamic and thoughtful coordinator whose approach to her work reflects her approach on life. She has a distinct perspective on organization and believes it’s a means to an end, a way to anticipate and circumvent challenges that may steer a ship off course — a way to critically keep the goal in mind.

As such, Kereth has developed and improved systems and processes for Connolly Financial that uphold the overarching mission: personalized, holistic and highly technical planning, delivered with integrity.

It began years ago through her experiences in the hospitality industry. Through managing employees and multitasking, she learned to keep the many moving pieces of an operation in tandem with one another, even in the face of unexpected obstacles. Kereth learned that impeccable results are only possible when empathizing with — and empowering — those around her. Her managerial perspective is that supreme attention to detail and an ability to understand others are essential to reaching an overall vision, as is laughing along the way.

An Aristotlean concept gleaned from her philosophy studies at the University of Auckland in New Zealand continues to ring true today: the end has a meta-physical superiority over the means. Through preparing and managing budgets, improving company efficiencies, analyzing financials and managing personnel, Kereth keeps the Connolly Financial ship on track and moving towards the “end,” the goal — their clients’ overall well-being.

Kereth and her husband Shaun currently live in the Four Corners where they enjoy spending time together with their two boys in the great outdoors. They love to vacation internationally to expose their kids to different cultures and perspectives.

Robb Requard

Financial Advisor

Robb is a steadfast financial advisor and confidant who aims to produce and execute customized solutions to best serve his clients. Robb believes that financial planning is as much of an art as it is a mathematical discipline. He begins each client relationship with a simple question—“Why?”. Robb has found that by first understanding a client’s values he can diligently create a bespoke plan that clients are deeply committed to see succeed.

As an expert collaborator, empowerment and education are essential to Robb’s approach. By walking through all options and the reasoning behind different possibilities, clients develop a deeper understanding of their situation and the financial world. Robb enjoys equipping clients with the ability to make informed decisions towards their financial independence, stability and ultimately their life goals.

After completing his Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology at the University of New Mexico, Robb studied at UNM’s Anderson School of Business in pursuit of a Masters in Business Administration.  Within his first year in the program, Robb was hired by Intel and spent over a decade managing groups within Operations and Engineering. Despite finding success in the corporate world, he found that his time was consistently stretched between his leadership role at Intel and his personal life.  He yearned for a life that would enable him to be the kind of husband, father, son and friend he envisioned — while still enjoying the a career that had a positive impact on others.  In 2007 Robb started his own financial practice - Breckenridge Financial.  A nod to a family name carried down since the 1700’s, Breckenridge represented an opportunity to focus on family—his and yours. Robb built Breckenridge Financial as a referral-only business and hasn’t looked back since.  He is a Series 65 registered advisor and is licensed in Life, Accident, and Health insurance.

Outside of work, Robb is passionate about coaching youth sports, including football, baseball and soccer. He enjoys spending time in the great outdoors backpacking, mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding and fly fishing. Robb and his family love to vacation together, and you can find them on the beaches of South Carolina in the summer. Robb has been married for 20 years and has two teen boys — plus one “little girl,” their Shih Tzu.
